Why Choose Med Clinics to be Your Pain Management Home?
The plain and simple answer is because we are different than your usual medical clinic. Our company leadership built Med Clinics with the following 3 principles in mind:
A) Keep what works in medicine
B) Throw out what doesn’t work
C) Everything in the clinic must revolve around the patient—all our efforts are about providing our patients what they want in an environment where they feel comfortable, safe, and respected
- Because we will treat you with respect and dignity. We are painfully aware that chronic pain sufferers like you are often treated disrespectfully and cruelly by physicians and other medical providers. They do this because they are either unkind, have been in medicine too long and their heart has grown cold and uncaring, or have become so worried about protecting themselves against rigorous governmental and licensing board oversight of narcotic prescriptions. While these providers’ concerns about appropriate narcotic prescription are valid, at Med Clinics we have created a lengthy and thorough care process that is designed to help identify persons attempting to obtain narcotics inappropriately. This knowledge allows our medical providers the freedom to trust our patients and believe you when you say you hurt, instead of worrying if you are a drug dealer or drug addict trying to dupe us into providing pills for the wrong reasons. Happily, because the word is out in our community that Med Clinics is not a pill mill, but is an ethical, high quality medical organization with its patients’ best interests at heart, such people do not come to our practice.
- We will take the time to listen to what you say. We allow our staff and medical providers plenty of time so they can thoroughly address your medical problems and not feel rushed to hurry up and get you out the door to get to the next patient.
- We search for the cause of your problem and don’t just treat your symptoms. While many of our patients have had the causes of their pain accurately diagnosed by prior physicians, some have not. We believe in the maxim that the best physician in the world can’t correct your problem if he or she doesn’t know what it is. Our care process is designed to help ensure that your original diagnosis is correct or to accurately identify the cause if it is not.
